Standard men's clothing shirt Pants Blouson Men's clothes S - LL size - Japanese Craft Book

¥2,200

Release date: ‎ 2020/3/28
Language ‏ : ‎ Japanese
Mook ‏ : ‎ 96 pages

A collection of simple men's wear that can be enjoyed by all generations. We feature designs that are easy to mix and match, such as shirts, tapered pants, parkas, and blouson. Some works come with detailed photo explanations.
Available in 4 sizes: S, M, L, LL. Comes with actual size pattern.

I borrowed several books from the library to try making men's clothing for the first time, but I bought this because it was the easiest to understand. There are works that are timeless, such as ``standard...''. There are four types of patterns: S, M, L, LL, but the shirt has a tuck under the shoulder yoke, the pants have a one-tuck at the waist, and some have an elastic waistband, so they are perfect not only for slim bodies but also for a little room around the stomach. We have posted designs that are easy to wear for those who want them without having to make any pattern corrections. The basic ``shirt with stand collar'', ``open collar'', ``tapered pants'', and ``hoodie'' are detailed with photos and instructions on how to make them.

What I was impressed with was (1) the opening of the cufflinks was made with ``slash piping'' instead of ``sword rag'' (which makes it difficult to trim the triangle neatly), and ``stand-collar shirts'' (the thickness of the seam allowance creates a step in the stand collar). , ``Buttonholes are difficult to make with home sewing machines with low horsepower'' and ``Continuous sewing collars'' are also included, and other points that amateurs tend to make mistakes are also introduced in easy-to-understand sewing methods. ② Points that you should master even if they are a little difficult, such as side pockets and zipper attachment, are explained in detail with photos.
If you're wearing wool pants for going out, I think it's best to have a welt pocket or a box pocket for the back pocket, but for casual clothes made on a home sewing machine, this book is sufficient for amateurs to make without overdoing it. Even if you don't make men's clothing, if you prefer pants to skirts, this is a very helpful book.
In addition, I think that "front of left rear pants" in the top photo of the right column on p.43 is a typographical error of "back of left rear pants."
