The theme of the second installment of the stick needle knitting sourcebook series by Nora Ghosn, a popular American knit designer, is ``Twist Stitch.'' This twist stitch looks exactly like the "one stitch crossing" that is common in Japan, but it is actually similar but different. This is an eye-opening technique that is easier to knit than ``one-stitch crossing,'' but the stitches produced are almost the same.

The main character of this book is Nora's thorough pursuit of this technique, developing it in every direction, vertically, horizontally, diagonally, and creating over 125 different patterns. Charts (knitting patterns) for all patterns are also included.

Also included are 15 pieces of clothing, hats, scarves, etc. that use patterns. The clothes can be knitted in nine different sizes from XS to 6L, and each design is unique and fun to knit, typical of Nora.

There's even a guide that summarizes the know-how and tools to start creating your own original pattern designs!

It's a bit troublesome to knit, and the stitches are plain...I tended to think of it as a supporting character, but the ``first-stitch cross'' is a bit of a pain to knit. I was surprised to find out that if it was a twist stitch, it could be knitted so crisply! I was also surprised that it was possible to knit such a fresh pattern depending on the design! This is a book about Nora and Twist Stitch.
