The world of folklore depicted through cross-stitch - Japanese Craft Book

¥2,700

Release date: ‎ 2025/1/7
Language ‏ : ‎ Japanese
Book: ‎ 80 pages

A collection of cross stitch patterns with a folklore theme. This book introduces three sections: Creatures, Flowers and Plants, and Repeated and Geometric Patterns, which are common in folklore patterns. As examples of how to use the patterns, we also introduce how to enjoy embroidering items such as smartphone shoulder bags and pouches. You can enjoy the embroidered patterns by framing them, repeating them on a line, or embroidering a part of them as a focal point. There is also a detailed explanation of the basics of cross stitch. The materials used are DMC thread (25 embroidery thread) and cloth (Aida 14 count and linen 28 count). A page with sample thread colors is included, which is useful for choosing colors.
