[About the artist]
Sachiyo*Fukao
Knit designer. Living in Shiga Prefecture. Influenced by her mother, who loves handmade crafts, she started crocheting at a young age. After working on everything from product planning to knit design at a craft supplies manufacturer, she started working as a knit designer. She has proposed her works in craft-related magazines and books. In addition to appearing on the NHK program "Suteki ni Handmade," she also works as "Sachiyo (AmiAmi*ChikuChiku)" at events and general stores, and teaches at knit cafes. She has written many books, including "Warm Hand-Knitted Room Shoes at Home" (published by Kawade Shobo Shinsha).
