This book was supervised by the long-established Kyoto confectioner Tsuruya Yoshinobu, and features classic Japanese sweets and new classics that are in line with the times, all turned into coloring pages.

The beginning of spring, grain rain, frost, winter solstice...
The 24 solar terms that represent the four seasons of Japan are interwoven into spring, summer, autumn, and winter, and Japanese sweets that are appropriate for each season are selected. The original coloring pages are meticulously drawn in beautiful compositions, with vessels and flowers that accentuate the sweets, and are so beautiful that it is hard to believe they were drawn with colored pencils. However, the warm touch unique to colored pencils is a perfect match for the gentle shapes of Japanese sweets, and you can feel the joy of going through the seasons just by turning the pages.

The coloring pages are designed so that you can color the pages on the right while looking at the sample (colored) on the left, so even beginners can aim for a satisfactory finish.

The sample pages also include information on the origins of the sweets, as well as the appropriate seasons, sweet classifications, and main ingredients, so just turning the pages will open up the world of adorable Japanese sweets.

This small booklet is 180mm tall and 165mm wide, and has a cover that looks like wrapping paper and a cover that is an arrangement of noshi paper, giving it an elegant and elaborate binding that looks like a gift box for sweets. In addition, the explanation of sweets at the end of the book (8 pages) is printed on colored paper, which brings out the sweets in the main story (original coloring pages) and creates a more gorgeous finish.
