William Morris (1834-1896) was a poet, writer, painter, designer, businessman, translator, and socialist activist.

Born into a wealthy middle-class family in England, he grew up surrounded by a mansion, a lush garden, and beautiful forests, and created works with nature as a motif throughout his life.
