Jun Mitani
Associate Professor, Graduate School of Systems and Information Engineering, University of Tsukuba. He is engaged in research on computer graphics.
Born in Shizuoka Prefecture in 1975. Completed doctoral course at the University of Tokyo Graduate School in 2004, Ph.D. (Engineering).
Became a researcher at RIKEN in 2005 and a lecturer at the University of Tsukuba's Graduate School of Systems and Information Engineering in 2006. Current position since 2009.
He is conducting research on origami design techniques using computers.
He has loved paper crafts and computers since he was a child, which directly leads to his current research theme.
The works published in this book were designed using original programs developed at the end of 2008, and many of them are based on
